Mark Maggiora
OHM Board President Mark is employed as Executive Director of Americans Building Community, Inc. During the past 30 years, Mark has served on numerous boards and commissions devoted to community improvement, well being, and effective service delivery. He has also served 29 years as a volunteer ski patroller at Mt. Bachelor. Mark and his wife, Patti, serve in leadership roles at Memorial Lutheran Church. They state that OHM Family Shelter provides the fundamental building blocks in the process of helping people to become the contribution to the world that they were called to be. They teach the family how to fish!
Wayne Garlington
OHM Board Member Wayne moved to Vancouver 20 years ago to pastor youth at Liberty Bible Church. During that time, Wayne started his own business. As business grew, Wayne and his business partner devoted time to the shelter because they believed in its mission. The business provided employment opportunities to OHM residents through our Work Development Program. Wayne's wife, Treva, volunteers at the shelter by serving on the special events committee and providing chaperone and transportation assistance for outings.
Lee Loomis
OHM Board Treasurer Lee and his wife, Sharon, moved to Clark County in 1991 from Central Oregon. After completing 5 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era, the next 25 were directed toward a career in health care management. Since retirement, Lee has become involved in non-profit organizations including Share House, LVHA, and SCORE (an organization sponsored by the Small Business Administration). Lee and Sharon are members of
Columbia Presbyterian Church. Lee became involved in OHM because he believes that it is an organization of dedicated staff members who truly change lives for the better. OHM's ability to contribute to the community apart from government funds and its foundation on Christian principles are also important factors for his commitment to the shelter.
