Sept. 4 – Oct. 11
Seeking to raise $66,000 for operations at Open House Ministries, staffer Mark Roskam and his brother, Mike, will cycle historic Route 66 starting in September. From Chicago to California, traveling more than 2,400 miles, the cycling enthusiasts are hoping for by-the-mile pledges to help motivate them along their way. (Lump-sum gifts are also welcome, of course.)
Read more about the Roskams’ goal to raise money and awareness for how Open House walks alongside homeless families in Clark County Today and The Columbian. KGW also covered Route 66 on Sept. 4. Sept. 19 — SAVE THE DATE!
Give More 24!, put on by the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington, raised a record $1.35 million last year for Southwest Washington nonprofits. We were one of the nonprofits involved in the community-wide giving event.
This 24-hour giving spree happens again on Sept. 19. It has become a chance for the community to work together on one day to show how much it cares. And for Open House Ministries, not only do we benefit from donations, but through the community foundation, we are eligible for matching funds and more.
Maximize your gift for Open House on Sept. 19. Visit our profile on Give More 24!
We’re seeking matching donors now. Contact Leslie Cook at 360-737-0300 or download and sign the matching-funds agreement below. (Form must be received by Sept. 5.)
