I need your help. This fall we are planning for the next year. The new construction is opening doors of opportunity for Open House to expand programs for our families. When I was in the program years ago, I received life changing classes and guidance. Years later my children shared tht they felt left out because the emphasis was on adult education. This year I am committed to change that. In the upcoming year 2017-2018, our focus is on family. And to do so, I need your help.
This month we are gathering information about other successful Christian programs for families with children, from our community and around the globe. If you know about a successful, proactive program, please write me, drop me a note, send an email to 4theFamily@sheltered.org, or leave a comment on our website at www.sheltered.org. Let’s join hands in giving the children a hand up to a brighter future.
God bless you~
Renee Stevens
Executive Director

As Senior Case Manager, Stevens brings 12 years of social service management and homeless provider network experience. Board Chairman Dick James says, “Renee brings a depth and understanding of the social service needs for the population we serve and years of working with our strategic partners in Southwest Washington and throughout the Pacific Northwest. She has personally been responsible for forging and strengthening key alliances. Renee is a strong leader internally, in Vancouver and in the region. She is passionate about finding solutions for homeless families.”
“I am looking forward to continuing to serve our homeless families and our amazing partner organizations in this new capacity,” remarks Stevens. “I am dedicated to this work because it provides vital services and hope for a new life to the homeless. I have seen the Open House Ministries experience change lives and help people start over who otherwise would not have had a chance. I am honored and blessed to be given this opportunity to serve.”
