Volunteers Wanted
As an Open House Ministries Adopt-a-Room volunteer, you’ll provide an incoming family at the shelter with the essentials of everyday living.
For many residents at Open House, this will be the first time they have experienced unconditional love and care. From essentials to small details that reflect your sincere concern about preparing a safe, welcoming environment for them, Adopt-a-Room volunteers help set the stage for success.
At Open House Ministries, we believe in presenting a nicely furnished, clean living space to our residents. By inviting them to take ownership of their carefully crafted apartment, residents will gain a greater respect for the house and the opportunity they’ve been given.
How it Works
We notify you when an apartment has been vacated. At this time, we ask if you will be available to furnish that apartment and give you tips and pointers.
It is critical that we have immediate communication from you, as we need to assure a family is not kept waiting. Open House Ministries is a steward of the resources given to us from our donors. Our goal is to keep all apartments occupied as quickly and completely as possible.
